My Great Great Great Great Great Great Great (that’s 7) Grandfather Was Bastard Child!

I was doing some ancestry work today on my family name and I found out that my Great Great Great Great Great Great Great Grandfather Niclaes Van Schoonhoven wasn’t even a Schoonhoven to begin with! He was the bastard love child of my Great Great Great Great Great Great Great Grandmother, Debora Christofeels Davids and a guy that was called by one of these four names; Peg Leg Perrick, Dirck Adrians Van Vliet, Dirrick “Wooten Legg”, or Derrick Von Vliet. But since she was married to Hendrick Claessen Van Schoonhoven and baptized to that name, he became a Schoonhoven! My alleged Schoonhoven Great Great Great Great Great Great Great Great (that’s 8 ) Grandfather Hendrick Claessen Van Schoonhoven even mentioned my 7x Great Grandfather in his will as the bastard son!

“So Schall be Give unto the Recerdit [recorded] Basterd Child named Claes whoes modder is called Debora an English Schilling.”

Wow one whole English Schilling, I wonder what that would be worth today?

Woohoo I Won a Prize

I won a Dr. Pepper Beanie! All I had to do was drink a 12 pack and eleven 21 oz. Diet Dr. Peppers! And now they are sending it to me in the mail and I should get it in the next 6 weeks. I’m going to drink even more Dr. Pepper for more codes. If anyone happens to want to give me their codes I’ll gladly take them. :)

Other then that we won out Softball game on Wed. night! I was 1 for 2 with 2 sacrifice flys, a walk, a triple, 2 runs and 2 RBI. I got the triple to lead off the top of the 7th. I also made a close tag at the plate in the bottom of the second to save a run and get the 2nd out. We one the game 27-21 and ended up in 2nd place for the league.

For the summer season I batted .483 with 12 runs, 11 RBI, 2 2b, 3 3b and 4 walks.

Grand Central

After 4 weeks I finally was able to get someone to send me a Grand Central invite! I have the ability to send 10 friends invites. So if someone would like an invitation to have an all in one phone number that will call all your other numbers you have to find you. Let me know. I can send you an invite via email. I just my account today, so I don’t know everything I can get, but I did get to choose my number from a listing of numbers they had available so that was nice, I could find out that I thought was easier to remember.

Movie and Dinner Night

So last night Kelly and I went out with Sean and Amber.  Had a great time.  First we had dinner at Carino’s, I had the Chicken Milano, which was very good.  we also shared some fondue.  we both mentioned that we have been trying to go to The Melting Pot, but haven’t been able to make it there.  So we will probably end up going there some time soon as well.  Next we went to the movies and saw…. Halloween.  It was Kelly and Sean’s pick.  It was alright for a horror flick.  There was a little too much screaming, which just annoys me.  And also just a little too much stupidness with how people react.  But considering the fact that Rob Zombie did it I did like it for what it was.  I just don’t get horror flicks, even the serious ones tend to be somewhat corny to me.

While at dinner we got on the conversation of sports and were talking about soccer, well Amber’s sister is putting together a recreation arena soccer team to play at the Garden Grove soccer arena on Mondays.  Amber and Sean are player, and I’m going to play now too.  I’ve been wanting to get back into playing soccer.  This will be fun, and some food exercise.  I got to get myself some shinguards this weekend!

Other then that there isn’t much going on.  I have softball tonight.  Hopefully I can get some hits together and get back above .500.  Unfortunately we have lost our last 3 games which pretty much knocked us out of contention of any swag.  Oh well, there is always next year.

49ers start out 1-0!

It wasn’t a pretty game, but I’m glad my 49ers came out with a win. Very nice job fighting back at the end by Alex Smith and Arnez Battle (and to think he’s from Notre Dame…), not to mention the black on the 2 point by Michael Robinson. It was a hard game to watch since both the Niners and Cardinals were playing poorly, but I’m happy with the end result. And what about Mike Nolan, that’s just plain class what he’s doing this year wearing the suit all season, I really hope the NFL stops being stupid about that and allows any coach that wants to do it the choice.

Dress to the niners…

Working on a redo.

I’m working on redoing my site using Wordpress.  It might be a couple weeks.  Not like it matters I never updated my site anyway! :)
